This is a drill that can be used to keep conditioning levels elevated without losing basketball form.
DIAGRAM 1: The offensive player sprints to midcourt, then to the sideline and comes back strong toward the player with the ball on the baseline. The player with the ball passes to the offensive player, who dribbles hard to the goal for the layup.
When we first started doing this drill, we had a line of players on each side of the basket completing the motions. The players became so intense during the drill, they weren’t allowing the other side to shoot first. For safety reasons, we now run a single line at each end of the floor.
